The best part about today was that the internet worked all day!  With lightning fast speed!  Maybe our troubles are behind us and everything’s been fixed??  We can only hope!  The breakfast is not as good as it was last year, but it’s not bad.  They include scrambled eggs, which are sometimes cold, and bacon, which is delish! Their yogurt is always so good, I love it!  They haven't had any pear juice this year...hopefully they'll have it again!!

Studiously paying attention!

We went into school and Sergio Splendore talked to us about Italian journalism.  It was really interesting.  I've heard it before, but for some reason, the info just clicked with me today! He also discussed an article he'd written with Gianpietro (my liaison here), which was cool.  He showed some clips about Italian media based on that article.  I don't have the links, I'll need to get them from him.

We took a quick break for lunch and then watched the giallo, Deep Red.  Giallos are horror or thriller movies.  They are called giallo (which means yellow in Italian) because the thriller/horror books have yellow covers.  It's a campy movie, but manages to make people jump when we watch it!  There was a lot of commentary ("Don't go in there!"  "Run!"  "What are you doing?!", etc), but people responded well to it.

It was a long movie and when it was over, we scattered.  Meg and I went to go grab the tickets for the symphony next week and then came back.  We decided to eat in, which was fine.  Then, when we got back, I noticed that the Ramada was setting up their weekly apperitivo!  So, Judy, Meg, and I went downstairs to grab some munchies.

Marco, the cute/hot bartender, remember me from last year.  Probably because I had brought all those cute, young co-eds!   I couldn't remember what I wanted to get, but then remembered, he made amazing mojitos!  So, there you go!  Yummy!  The snacks were pretty good and they had the candy bar.  It wasn't very busy, which surprised me quite a bit!  But, that's okay.  It was a beautiful evening and there were no bugs, which is always a winner!

We had internet again all day.  Fabulous!  Amazing!  Wonderful!  Came back up and spent some time going through my to-do list,which included a lot of emails.  They follow me everywhere (sigh).  Got to bed a little early because I was tired.  Felt good to climb into bed!
