Today was supposed to be a fashion lecture. However, there was a mixup and it didn’t scheduled
quite right. Plan B to the rescue again
:o) We got up and went to the Basilica of San Ambrogio (Ambrose). He is the
patron saint of Milan whose feast day is 7 December. I’ve talked about this place before, but will
include a link here in case anyone wants a refresh!
Getting there was “fun” and very painful for one of the
girls. Last night, we dressed up and did
a lot of walking. Much more than had
been anticipated. One of the girls wore
heels and the balls of her left foot were really messed up by all the walking…blisters
and cuts and blood….but she was a trooper today walking. She had ointment and bandaids on her foot,
which helped!

So, we got on the metro and were merrily going along. We arrived at a station and then there was a
problem with the train. And it didn’t
move. Everyone got off and they
announced there was a problem with the train.
This meant that we had to walk to where we were going. Luckily, we were only 2 metro stops from the basilica. My smartphone has a map and gps, so off we
go. It was a little funny getting there,
but we made it just fine.

Toured the basilica and then it was time for lunch and their
exam. We were going to eat sushi for lunch, but
alas, we were too early. This really annoys
Meg. She doesn’t like set hours for
restaurants. She likes to be able to eat
when she’s hungry :o)

So, we went back to the place across the street to have some
lunch. It was pretty good. Came back and opened the exam and while they
were doing that, we worked on some more stuff.
Answering emails yesterday was good…but it meant that people answered
emails I sent, haha! So…more emails,
more getting stuff done. Laundry, etc. Then, I took a much needed 2-hour nap!
Came home and went to bed a little after 9pm. Despite the 2 hour nap, I had no trouble falling
asleep!
