5 June 2014 (TH)

In one week, I'll be sitting on board the plane taking me to Copenhagen!  And I'm absolutely not ready for this new adventure!  Yikes!  I have a list, which is going to help me calm down, but I haven't slept well all week, which is completely unlike me!

Things are coming together.  GMU and the University of Milan came to an agreement last month where there is a new accord between the two schools where Italian graduate students can now come to GMU again and we can continue with the undergraduate Milan program.  Thank goodness!  I had no control over any of it nor involvement with the process, so I was thrilled when Gianpietro told me it was updated again.

This year Meg Tucker is going with me and I could not be more excited about it!  Students love her!  She is a fun person with a calming influence and she doesn't put up with any crap, haha!  She has never been to mainland Europe (she's been to Ireland), so she is extremely excited about this trip.  Her dad is coming over the end of the trip so they can spend some time in Florence.

We have two of our three weekends planned with very fun activities.  She's a planner and she loves lists, so we get along very well in that aspect, hahaha!  We are spending one weekend in Switzerland and will do the Bernina Express and stay outside of St. Moritz in a semi-affordable hovel and then go on the glacier.  Another weekend we are traveling to Rimini to spend some time in a beach town so I can dive and she can sun her bod.  The third weekend......still up for grabs.  Who knows, the world is our oyster!

Enough for now.....must get back to list-making and convincing myself that 6 more days is enough time to get ready......
