What the heck??!! It's as if I've never packed for Europe before! Or any trip, for that matter. And our house was hot and humid....down goes the A/C, up goes the bill.
This is the 7th year I've traveled to Europe and I constantly warn my students to pack lightly. Well, I had no earthly idea where the weight came from, but I am now schlepping across Europe one large suitcase right at 50 lbs, a second medium-sized suitcase weighing in at about 40lbs, my carryon which is about 30 (luckily they didn't weigh it!!) and a bag that's doubling as my "purse." I am confused because I was certain I'd downsized from last year, or at least stayed the same. $80 later, I am the proud person who gets to take everything everywhere. <sigh>
I am currently in the airport waiting for something to eat. I am utterly ravenous. I've had the worst gastroenteritis over the last two weeks. Finally I think it's better. I hope so, haha!! I am tired of toast, bananas, and bland foods. I haven't even had a glass of wine since May 31st! Yikes....I'm dry :o)
I am pleased that I get to say really, really nice things about TSA! They were efficient, quick, friendly, and on their game today. Things flowed smoothly, which is such a nice change from what usually happens! That helped lower my stress level by bunches too.
Guess that's about it for now. Food should be coming in just a few. I am looking forward to getting on the plane and arriving in Copenhagen tomorrow. It's always a really long "day" as I'm awake with minor snoozing for about 26 or more hours. Fun...?? I can't wait!! Adventures await :)
